There are many great hiking trails in and around New River Gorge. My favorite hikes within the park were the Endless Wall Trail, the Long-Point Trail, and the Sandstone Falls Boardwalk. The Endless Wall Trail has fantastic views of the gorge. The Long-Point Trail has a great view of the New River Gorge Bridge (not featured)

Running parallel to the center of the gorge, this trail passes through historical coal mine sites named Kaymoor. Posted signs explain the history of the land, the mine operation, and the communities that inhabited this area.   Once at the mines, you will follow an old mine rail trail through various views, waterfalls, and cliffs.
