About Me

I’m Lauren Avery, founder of Pointedlens, LLC. As an artist whose journey through photography and videography started at the age of 16. What began as a simple curiosity soon evolved into a powerful tool for self-expression, eventually leading me to work with some of the most influential names in the industry, including YouTube phenomenon “Nelk“, Zak Folkman, global record label Atlantic Records and many more.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of collaborating with talented individuals and capturing moments in ways that highlight not just their accomplishments but their true, unfiltered selves. However, as I delved deeper into the world of high-profile work, I began to feel a disconnect—a sense of losing the very thing that made me fall in love with this craft. It wasn’t about the glamour or the fame, but about the raw, real moments that tell a story beyond the surface.

Photography and videography, for me, have never been about perfect, posed stills. They’ve always been about connection—capturing the essence of a person in their natural environment, unguarded and real. The beauty lies in the imperfections and the quiet moments that tell the truest stories. I realized that my passion wasn’t just about creating art for others, but about using my lens to express myself and engage with the world around me in an authentic way.

Through my work, I aim to capture emotions in their purest form—moments that are fleeting but meaningful. Whether it's the unspoken interactions between friends, the quiet strength in everyday lives, or the chaotic beauty of society as a whole, my goal is to create images and videos that resonate and transform.
